Mutual-fund SIP calculator

Every month, your SIP payment buys units in a mutual fund at that day's price (usually Rs 9–11 per unit). Pick a fund below, and we'll show what your monthly investment could grow to, based on how that fund has actually performed over the past 1, 3, or 5 years. You can also see the result adjusted for inflation, so you know what it's really worth in today's money.

About these numbers

Built from published prices

We use the real prices each fund has published — daily where available, month-end otherwise — going back as far as the fund's records allow. Sometimes that's since the fund launched, sometimes only the last year or two. Every result tells you exactly how much history it's based on, so you can judge how much to trust it.

Each month's payment is treated as if it bought units at that month's real price. If the fund paid out dividends or bonus units along the way, those are included too — either reinvested into more units, or paid out as cash, depending on which option you pick below.

Here's the one big assumption: we assume the fund keeps growing at roughly the rate it has in the past. That's never guaranteed — funds can do better or worse than their history suggests. We always show you exactly which growth rate we used and over what time period, and we clearly mark any fund whose history is too short to trust. One thing this doesn't include: exit fees, which are usually around 1% if you withdraw within the first year — check with the fund before pulling money out early.

Typical minimum SIP is Rs 1,000/mo — confirm in the scheme prospectus.

When the fund pays a dividend

Dividends automatically buy you more units (this is the Growth option most SIPs use).

Show in today's money

Prices rise every year, so future rupees buy less. This shrinks the result to what it would be worth today.

How it stays fresh

Monthly crawl, timed to the NAV cycle

Fund managers publish month-end NAVs in the first days of each following month (larger AMCs also publish daily NAVs). Our crawler pulls the whole open-ended board in a single request and stores whatever is new — daily runs, but it skips the network entirely while data is fresh and only re-fetches when the newest completed month is still missing. Where an AMC exposes its own history API (Siddhartha, Nabil, NMB, NIC Asia, Garima, NIMB Ace, LS, MCL so far — plus Kumari's latest-NAV feed, a full KSLY history file and pasted Sanima weeklies), we backfill all the way to launch — that's why some schemes model SIPs from 2021 or 2022 and others only from 2025. A second scan watches payout announcements (cash dividends, bonus units) so the DRIP / cash-payout modelling stays current. Every projection shows the exact NAV span behind it, and short histories are labelled provisional. Figures ignore exit loads (typically ~1% in the first year) — check the scheme prospectus.
